Consider drop spindles with discs for the front of your rig! I have a '66 Truck with the 2.5" drop spindles up front and 3" drop springs in the back, came out perfect and it stops on a dime! I also have 18" wheels in front and 20" in back with matched tires so that contributes to the rake on mine. My dad's '66 Burb in the background is stock. I'm about 3.5 inches lower at the front bumper than him, still the same ground clearance as my stock Subaru though!
