Probably first digit is year,
Then the second is a letter(they skip the letter I)
Because it looks to much like a number.
Then day of the month
Example:9M15 would =December 15th 1969

A - January B - February C - March D - April
E - May F - June G - July H - August
J - September K - October L - November M - December
