I'll bet there's a bunch of us who feel that way. For me it was a 66 Chevy II Nova Sport Coupe with a 283 4bbl and 3-speed manual, and later a 70 Nova coupe. I cheaped-out when ordering the 70 Nova and didn't spring for the SS package, so ended up with a 255hp/350 2-bbl, Saginaw 4-speed, and bench seats. But still, I'd take it back in a heartbeat!

Sold the 66 for around $900 and bought the new 70 for $2700. Just found an inflation calculator that shows those numbers would be $6,195 and $18,580 in 2021 dollars.

1969 C10 (not the current one) that I bought in the early 1980s. Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming.
