I guess I should apologize too. I assumed that you knew that it was in the location of the Standard cigarette lighter, but you never mentioned cigarette lighter in your first post.
Do keep in mind that the cigarette lighter in the Custom deluxe and higher trimmed models were designed to match the radio and dash controls. I can’t imagine what aftermarket gadget would do the same.
You mention that it comes back on a spring and doesn’t come all the way out? The custom deluxe lighter is designed so only the billet portion pushes in and pops out. Then you pull the black outer ring to remove it ( again, Im assuming you know this but I’m just stating just in case). I’ve seen where the lighter housing has physically either rusted in place or somehow fused itself into the receptacle. Could this be the case?
