the pointer with the "6" on it is the correct position for #1.
you have to make sure its cyl. #1 thats on TDC, and not #4???

they share the same crank position (TDC marks aligned on
balancer to timing cover), but its the camshaft position
that determines which is actually firing.

if you just rotated the balancer mark to the timing cover,
and didnt verify which cylinder was firing, you may have to
rotate the dist. rotor 180 deg., to #4 to get things right...
thats what i did and it fired right up
