Those numbers you posted are part of the serial number of the vehicle the motor was put in originally.
There should be some other letters and numbers stamped on the pad.
A pic of the pad and the motor would help.

Not in our generation of trucks, but GM did produce an 8.1 liter engine that was 496 cubic inches in the early 2000s
