I needed to come up with a way to get the wall carpet to stay in place, so this is where I got creative, Lol. I used an old stainless tailgate protector cap that I had on my '71 C10. I cut it lengthwise, so when I tightened it in place, it would push against the carpet. I drilled holes in the same locations used to mount the original gas tank.

I cut the tailgate cap lengthwise to almost a 90-degree bend.

I bolted it in where the original fuel tank hold down bolts were.
