And I think you're right about the JB8, a little more looking and I found:
JB8 76 88 BRAKE SYSTEM,HYD PWR DISC/DRUM
So they were hydro-boost systems installed from 1976-1988. Sorry about that other RPO lookup, I got that from another post online.
