Atomik... Gauges were the designer series black (cheapest ones). I used all electric (mechanical won't work because of the way they "float" in the gauge cup). I think my total cost was around the $200 mark. I just carefully cut the plastic cups off, then used 2 part expoxy to mount them to the backs of the original faceplates. Once all the gauges were epoxied to the plates, I soldered wire to all the pins, then marked it and ran it through a hole in the back.

I did have to make a small plate to tie the four original faceplates together. I think I posted all the pics I have of it, but I'll dig around for some more.
