If I buy the harness now, will the connectors for the fuel injectors need to be swapped or changed for different injectors?

You can buy adapters for most common injector connection types, so I wouldn't worry about that. EV6 and EV1 are common, Multec not as much just because those injectors don't have the same flow capabilities as the others.
