Recheck your connections.

If the schematics are correct...

6 should run to the A terminal on the air temp sensor.
7 should run to the B terminal on the air temp sensor.

8 should be chassis ground.
13 should be ignition power.

Power and ground are easy.
You can ohm out the temp sensor wires with long test leads the proper probe terminals to make sure each side connects from the mirror all the way to the sensor.
