I catch your drift on cost going up being cost of getting there. I guess they were never free, even when gas was cheap. What bothers me right now is just since 4th of July weekend I've come to realize the Liberty Rods show, a local club show drawing over 300 street rods was the weekend before. I never even thought about it until this week. My whole spring and summer used to exist from event to event like clockwork before Covid. I never needed a calendar, it was in my blood. I am way off track now. The day before is a great somewhat closed party by the local chapter of AMCA (Antique Motorcycle Club of America) at a friend's place. The best party of the year for me. Live band, antique American iron, along a creek, in a colonial era glassworks town. Very neat and I missed it again!
