you have to adjust the play in the worm gear first, which is done by loosening the jamb nut on the back of the box were the steering column bolts in, tightening the inner nut which has two holes in it, by putting a punch in one of the holes and using a screwdriver to tighten it til it won't move, then backing off 1/4 inch.
Then you can adjust the top nut and allen until the steering doesn't return to center when driving, and back it off 1/8th turn.
thats the way to do it on the vehicle. the right way is done on the workbench but this works for me.
