For mock-up I'm using the 255/45/17's that are already on the wheels, but ultimately I will go with 235/40/17's all around. So I'm making room for the mock up wheel/tire combo so that I will have more than enough room for the final set.

Next step was to trim the fender lips:

This bulge extended into my tire space and was flattened out (later more drastic measures were taken...)
