Regarding the struts, I found the Stabilus Lift Supports 4B-877865 which are just shy of 13" collapsed and 22.3" extended (which is close) but unknown compression force. Any thoughts on compatibility would be appreciated, thanks.

Sucks all those part #'s no longer available, but LMC does sell a complete kit for $60. A little more then piecing it together no doubt, but at least it should all work.
