I'd think that if you weren't actually moving from Vermont a Vermont registration might raise a red flag with some states just as registrations from a couple of other non title states do in some states or paperwork from a couple of "made up" title outfits.
Simply meaning that I would rather spend the time and what money it might cost to jump through a few hoops to do it right and know that I had done it right than cheat and then get caught up with.
