Would have to sell for $25k plus just to get the money back out of it. Oh well, guess I will have to keep it for awhile.
I bought my 72 Super C20 about the same time for $3300. Rust for sure, not fixed. Most of the components don't work or not well, like gauges, headlights, wipers and that, but it's my preferred driver locally and carries a big load when I need it. I didn't know how to do brakes at the time, paid 2K for the shop to replace everything but hard lines. That's pretty much it on start & stop. Replaced the mirrors on the cheap and nice wheels on a rough truck, I'm in 7Kish.

There's a story to that purchase I won't admit to. Not that I did something wrong, but I can say my fill-in bought it for $3000 Let's just say the former owner and I didn't take some reason, and the truck would pop up for sale every now & again. I told my friend Alice in Wonderland about it, and she volunteered to handle the situation and wouldn't let that one go. Whoops, I just admitted to some She only looks like Alice, probably prettier, and she can talk paint off Wasn't even 5 minutes I got a call "Tony I got it for $3". She was in just to chalk one up and didn't want money for it, but a deal's a deal.
