Had mine out when I rebuilt the front end and tried to replace the old ones with new CPP urethane bumpers. Simply couldn't get them in. Tried soap, wax, bunch of other stuff. No go. Ended up cleaning the stock pieces and reusing those. Went in with no problem. The knob that fits through the hole on the a-arm was a bit smaller on the stock pieces, and the rubber is a bunch softer, so that's probably why.
