nice work, great ingenuity.
with a little more work you could probably have that entire bracket bolt onto the pan bolts ahead and behind the shifter shaft. like a piece of angle iron with a hole drilled in the right place for the shifter shaft, then trimmed for aesthetics, and another piece or 2 welded on to support the switches or use a piece of tubing to get an arced flange where the switches mount up. you could use studs instead of bolts for the pan where the bracket bolts up and then tubular spacers to get the bracket at the right depth off the pan flange.
