I learned this a long time ago and invested in the proper tools to make sure I always have a functioning AC system in every vehicle I own (old or new). I spent over $1000 in parts alone last week to fully rebuild/restore the AC in my wife’s 20 year old Yukon, and that’s not counting my labor.
I agree but if you've got 20,000 in a restored vehicle to flip what's another 2000, if that's what it takes, as your still gonna ask 35/40,000 for it and by having the A/c working especially in an area where extreme heat is the norm its takes a big worry/concern out of the equation for the buyer so might sell faster.
