My alternator doesn't have F and R on it. Instead, it has 1 and 2. White goes to 1, and blue goes to 2.

On the voltage regulator end, blue is F, and white is 2.

I am concerned about the behavior of the white wire (VR2 to alt 1). When I first start my truck, the voltage on it is only 0.1V. If I increase the rpm slowly, the voltage increases steadily until it gets to 0.6V. It sticks there as I continue increasing RPM until it jumps suddenly to around 5V, and immediately jumps to 14.8V and stays there after I let the engine idle down.

The blue Field wire starts out at 11.7V at idle, and then drops to 8V after revving.

Voltage measured at the battery is 12.5 at initial idle, and jumps up to 14.5 after revving and is stable at 14.5 regardless of the engine RPM after the initial rev.
That is an internally regulated alternator! Do you have a regulator on the radiator core support too, and how is this all connected?
