Re: Help decoding seatbelt date code

I believe K is the plant code. Correct, 52 is the week number. My belts varied from the 52 week of 71 to the 2 week of 72, for a January build date for the truck.

I checked all the date codes on my truck when I got it, glass, engine, tranny, differential, alternator, seat belts, mirrors etc. I was wanting to know the originality. But, I did know the build month of the truck so I had that advantage. I would grab all the date codes you can. If they are after your truck year, obviously they are replacements. Dates for the year of your truck could also be replacements but you start to look at the totality of the circumstances.
