Tim, I still think they used that large fender badge on both Customs and Super Customs. Even so, according to this pic, Customs had chrome hubcaps so you would be right on the painted hubcaps being improper. That photo was taken at a 2007 or 2008 parade in Northwest Iowa so who knows what was done at restoration.
