I gave up on the led alternator light and kept it regular 12 v incandescent. For some reason it still does not start charging until i rev it above 1500. Not a big problem but annoying and not sure why the regular light doesnt work as an exciter.
I am pretty close to doing all the mods/repairs that i can do so its going to a good repair guy soon. Needs minor leaks from engine, trans and diff fixed as tired of drip pans.
I will add i bought a set of replacement door and ignition locks from a eBay seller. They sent the wrong ones with the 1" too long plungers. I didn't realize they were the wrong ones until i installed them. Seller has refused to answer my emails so may place transaction in CC dispute and post his name soon.
Stuck with wrong parts and may have to shorten plungers myself to get them to work. Like many this may be my last use of PayPal since they say they can fine users $2500 for saying things they don't like. Might be my last EBAY buy as well as lock parts are junky.
