Re: Lets see the engine pics!!

Try a couple more of the new engine:
Trying to get the jist of posting pix.

So, this engine was a 572/620 engine with very low miles.
But, I figured, if I’m going through all the trouble of installing a new engine, I may as well go through it first.
I sold the GM aluminum heads off of it, and bought a set of AFR 335v2 heads.
Then I messaged Chris Straub, and asked if he could make me a nice solid roller for the street.
He asked me what kind of horse power I was looking for, and when I said around 700-750, he just last he’d and said, “That’s it?”
I said it only has 9.6:1 compression.
He said we can make a lot more then that if you want it to.
Make it at least 750 then, I said.
So with the cam, I got solid lifters, which took eight months to get, due to Covid.
The Jomar stud girdle fits perfect.
I had to buy another set of taller rocker arm studs, as with the proper length pushrods, the nuts were nearly on by four threads.
Smith Brothers 7/16” x .120” pushrods.
And a set of Straub Tech roller rockers.
This is a gen 6 block, and I’m using a double roller timing chain from Straub Tech as well.
Had to get a different front cover, and modify a cam button for it.
Lots of, one step forward, two steps back, on this build.
Headers are from Dan Lemon, Lemon’s Headers. (2 1/8” primary, down to 3 1/2” collectors)
Edelbrock Super Victor intake.
And more I’m sure I forgot to mention.
