Re: board lately
Man you are bored, but what a excellent way to kill the time, lol, those are amazing, you have a wild imagination, lol, I have lately been making lamps from camshafts, for years we would tear a engine apart, throw all the parts in the scrap bin,but as my brain ages, which somtimes is a good thing to build these items, Ilook at these old prts more as a art piece, than scrap, keep up the excellent work.

Re: board lately
I'm glad this isn't a thread about the board lately, which is what I was expecting. If you consider using creative energy to produce interesting pieces of art, you should try to get bored more often. These would be cool with a single C3 colored bulb inside

X2. My bathroom isn't that clean. But that's some great work there. Very creative. I'd love to have one of those. I wish that I had the talent.

Re: bored lately
What are those spark plugs off of??? Those are tall lamps. Careful not to knock them over!
All kidding aside, those lamps and dashboard hanger are top notch creations. Nice work!

Re: bored lately
Thanks Special K, the actual sparkplugs are a cast resin type of lamp that I do not remember the actual source, but I sawed the base's off and machined the coupler's to attach them to the heads.

Re: bored lately
I really like the piston art. I feel like all of the stuff in this thread is an awesome use of time and old parts. I made a clock out of a single hub cap the other day to keep busy. The whole process was pretty satisfying. I'm also thinking about making an end table out of an old bent rim like the one with the glass top in 4u2nv's post.

Re: bored lately
No pic of the base which is a brake drum with chrome lug nuts. The other lamp is a fuel coupler. Yep, I was bored.
