Replaced window felts/rubber...now hard to roll up

I recently replaced the felt and rubber on the main windows in my 72 GMC
Now it is really difficult to roll up my windows. It seems the felt channel is pinched where it goes from the window frame into the main door assembly.

Any thoughts or tips? Thanks.

Talking Re: Replaced window felts/rubber...now hard to roll up

I had to spray mine down every so often with silicon spray to make it work.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Replaced window felts/rubber...now hard to roll up

I had a problem with the outside window seals, (the rubber parts). I installed the deluxe seals with the chrome beading and the rubber is very thick and stiff.

I ended up trimming the rubber back to fix the problem.

Re: Replaced window felts/rubber...now hard to roll up

Yes I installed the deluxe ones as well. I'll try some lube before I start trimming.

Thanks for the help

Re: Replaced window felts/rubber...now hard to roll up

You really need to cram the felt in that channel transition good and not use a straight line at transition but make it sort of step at the transition. Also make sure the wind wing is fully seated loosen the screws and press it up and over. I had some trouble with my wind wing not all the way seated too and it put pressure on the opposing channel. All those little things add up.
