Here are a few pictures of El Caminos I have owned/built/bought and sold in the last 30 years.
Gray primered one is a 66 375HP 396 I bought at an abandoned vehicle auction.. Blue one is a 68 SS396 this one was loaded with options, 350HP, 4spd, AC tilt, tach, bucket seats, posi. Black one is a 68 I built to go on the show circuit. (never will do that again!!). White one is a 70 SS396 4spd. Silver one is a 71 402 4spd. |

Re: Pic Thread: Not just El Caminos:
I'd love to have a Sprint. I have never had any El Caminos. I hear ya on the show vehicle thing. Been there/done that. Just not for me.That black one is sure casting a perfect reflection, though. That tells be the quality of that one.

Re: Pic Thread: Not just El Caminos:
One of the best vehicles I have ever owned...
If I could find it, I would try to buy it back if it is still on the road. My 1968 elCamino. I drove it everyday for work, parts runner for the burb when it was torn apart, and even drag raced it at Pomona a few times. This picture was taken in the late '90s at the body shop where my burb was getting painted.

Re: Pic Thread: Not just El Caminos:
Now, you went hit a soft spot, Tim. My first car....er...truck was an ElCamino. This is how it looks now, that my dad owns it. I don't have any good pics of it when I had it, but it didn't look too much different.
I would love to be able to buy a new Holden Maloo Ute and import it here. If I win the lottery, that's the first thing on my list. I'll see if I can find some more pics on a different PC and add to this thread again.
