Cab corners ?? !!

I am in the process of putting new cab corners into my 69 gmc, i cut the old corner out, but when i went to put the new corner in, it doesn't look right. Where goes from the side to the back, the replacement piece isn't curved as high as the original cab. There isn't a difference in cabs between the 67-72 trucks is there. This is my first rebuild and my first body work project, and i don't know what the heck i am doing. I NEED HELP!!!!!!

Re: Cab corners ?? !!

There is no difference in the cab corners and rocker panels in 67-72. For the most part they interchange parts. It would help us out to see pics of what you are talking about. Many of us have welded in patch panels over the years, I am a little confused what you mean about the curve isn't as high. Trevor

Re: Cab corners ?? !!

I have a good idea on what you are dealing with, does the cab corner your using have a red sticker on it? If so I just went through this, those are the cheap chinese ones and are not even close to the original cab corner. Order the corners from anyone who sells keyparts like mgbmike there quality is a ton better and the steel is thicker not to mention the fit is almost exact!

Re: Cab corners ?? !!

I bought these cab corners off LMC, but they don't seem to match up at all. The ribs on the back of the cab don't match up either.

Re: Cab corners ?? !!

gonna be tough to figure out without any pics. i bought a fender cup from brothers, and it fit like crap to be honest. i REALLY had to bend it to make match, it was ridiculous but i got it to work.
