'93 4l80e

Im looking at a 4L80e out of '93. Any thing good, bad or ugly?

How many miles on it? The one in my '92 had to be rebuilt right at 40,000 miles because poor quality material was used when it was built. After being rebuilt it has worked great and it is behind a 454.

I use it to pull a 8k travel trailer.

I thought the 93 and below 4l80e's didnt require any computers to operate. it will be rebuilt before i run it

All 4L80E's need a computer to function unless they are rebuilt as a full manual trans. I do know that the '92's don't have the neutral safety switch assembly on the case around the selector shaft. I'm not sure how many years were like that.

BTW There is a way to electronically control a 4L80E without spending $1K+ on an aftermarket controller. If you're interested in more info, let me know.

they all require a computer and if im correct they didn't change the actual wiring connector and computer stuff till 95 for the 4l80e's so basically 91-94 is the same don't quote me but it should be around there
