Wheel size questions...again

Just wanted to put this up to you all before I pull the trigger.

Really want these wheels for our truck project. They look like old centerline wheels with NO holes. I plan is to have wheels that will stay almost brake dust free.

American Racing Outlaw I AR61 Machined Wheel with Clear Coat (15x10"/5x5")

BFGoodrich Radial T/A All-Season Radial Tire - P275/60R15 107S

I want to put these on a stock height 1985 C10 Custom Deluxe Long Bed. A/C, 2WD and Heavy Duty rear springs. (according to the glove box label)

Just rebuilt the front and rear suspension with all new bushings and the stock springs. I will be running a 2003 LS 5.3 so if anything, the front might be a little higher than stock. It was originally a 305/TH700R4.

Saw a guy with a stock 87 at Home Depot last weekend and he was running 15 x 10 all the way around but he had the style with the holes. He bought it that way and had no idea what size the rims were, but we both agreed they looked good on his rig.

Anyway, just looking to see if these will work before ordering.
Thanks.

Yes it will work. What's your concern?

Re: Wheel size questions...again

Concern is that these will fit and not rub on front. From all the posts I've read, they should be fine.

I was expecting a 5 inch back space. I guess its the 4 inch backspace that had me a little worried. From the way I understand it, that would put the outer edge closer to the fender lip, right? Will there be enough space on a stock height? And 275 is a big tire. Guy a Home Depot was running a 295!

It's probably my OCD kicking in, but i just want to be sure before I drop the cash. Love the look of big wheels/tires, but there's been more than one time I have bought more than my car could Chew!

Thanks.

I ran those same wheels back in the 90s with 295's and had no issues. If you're not lowering it you should be fine as well.

Re: Wheel size questions...again

As said above it will work at stock height, if you lower it any you might have issues with digging. My mom bought me a set of cragars at a car show as a gift and they all four have 4.25" backspacing. At my current height there will be all kinds of rub and digging unless I find a way to fix it. Right now I think I am going to shim the bed to gain more clearance for them, without I have less than .25" of room between the lip of the wheel and the wheel well on the rears.
