Re: GMC lost to a wildfire

Actually 72 homes at the last count.... in a small community of around 700 residents. Hell on Earth is an accurate description alright.

Re: GMC lost to a wildfire

That is sad. Hopefully their wont be any fatalities. We just had a huge fire here last June and two people were killed. 309 homes destroyed 48,000 acres burned. The saddest part was the people that were killed were an elderly couple and the husband was found on top of his wife trying to shield her from the flames.

Re: GMC lost to a wildfire

I know what few towns are in your area are small. That's a big impact.

Fire and flood are the two worst things. I hope nobody was hurt.

Re: GMC lost to a wildfire

We had one the other day near North San Juan. Fire crews did a hell of a job holding it to under 400 acres! Could have been real bad. Those fire fighters are life savers!

^^^^^^Yes they are. I've met one personally and found him to be a great guy. I suspect that is representative of a fair lot of them indeed.
