Swb highlander

Hello my friend recently inherited a 1972 one owner 93k mile zero rust swb fleet 2wd with original paint.. The truck is dark blue with a white roof, and it has the highlander package.

I have never seen a swb highlander and I was wondering how rare theh are?

Thanks

Re: Swb highlander

I have one but am not sure how rare they are though. I think the majority of Highlanders are LWB.

Re: Swb highlander

No truck is not for sale I already tried. From what I have read there are not production numbers for package options such as highlander packages so there is not a way of acuratly telling how rare it is. I was just curious if anyone could tell me.

Thanks for any input

Re: Swb highlander

The truck I recently purchased is a swb Highlander, I believe. It does not have the special promotion listed on the Spid, but it has the Listing for the tilt column, full wheelcovers, and gray plaid seat. It also has the white seatbelts and the white door panels, with the black dash pad and black carpet. The original owners manual that was in the glove box has the original owners name hand written on it with red 1972 Highlander printed beside it.

Re: Swb highlander

I guess a longbed 2wd is most common, but not sure if I'd call a SWB rare. I had one and have seen plenty

Re: Swb highlander

Well I sure wish all you all with swb highlanders would post some pics! Didn't know you had one Tim, would love to see some pics.

Mike - more pics of your money pit please - looks great. Would look even better right side up

rgreathouse - I REALLY want to see the white/dk blue one - that would be a very cool combo - assume it has the blue plaid, but I suppose it could have the gray plaid as well.

Re: Swb highlander

I bought mine in '73 off the OK Used Car lot. I've spoke of it before when talking over exceptions in the package or general details. I never took pictures of that and hardly any other vehicles for years. Usually pictures before then would be a vehicle captured in general shots. I remember people asking,"Why are taking pictures of your truck?" or car or motorcycle when I did do it. I got t-boned about a year after I bought it and that killed it.

I wonder how many Cheyenne Super SWBs were Highlanders
