Best header for TBI 350?
Hi everybody,
I have a 95 GMC 3/4 ton, 350. I have heard that putting headers on is one way to steal a little more power out of the power strarved TBI motors. My question is a shorty style header OK, or must I go with a full length style? Obviously with these motors, high rpms are not often seen, so I am looking to maximize low end torque. Mostly towing and hauling duties. I am running a single exhaust (3") without a cat, matched with a 40 series Flowmaster. Does anyone have any experience with the short Summit racing truck headers? They seem reasonably priced at around $175. I really dont want to wrap too much money into a quality set. Thanks. Last edited by afaletto; 09-23-2005 at 05:03 PM. |

i have an '88 305 TBI, i put a set of hedmen long tubes on and the torque gains were very noticeable. i love them. but of course i ran true duals with no cats. sounds real good. if u do run true duals, the only muffler that i will recommend is Imco Racing Series. they sound 10 times better than any flowmaster. hope this helps a little bit.
