New from Arizona with a 67 C10 Project

I have seen this forum for a while and I think its great. Finally getting to introductions. My son recently got this 67 as a project. He is just learning at 15. I have been around the block with several rides but not with the 67-72 trucks, so I have a lot to learn along with the kid. Currently we have a 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertable which was fully restored several years ago. Also a 1989 GMC Jimmy which is also in excellent shape because I bought it myself in 1989 and its been babied its whole life. The other cars are daily drivers and dont deserve a mention to this crowd. We look foward to learning from you all and helping out with what ever we can. You all know your stuff. We are glad to sign up.

Re: New from Arizona with a 67 C10 Project

Welcome to the forum! I'm also here in AZ up in North Phoenix. Great looking project. My first truck was a 72 C10 myself. I currently am driving my 2nd K5 that I've owned (third 67-72 counting the C10). Glad to have you on here.

Thanks for the welcome replies. It been a slow process with the truck since the kid is responsible for the funds primarily on his truck. We are smoothing out the body where ever the is a ding or abandoned trim hole. Bed is off to start cleaning up the frame and redoing the rear suspension. Waiting on some parts for the weekend fun.

Hey Dan, Its great to say I know someone here. Looking foward to this. Your truck is an inspiration to my son. He will have to do this twice before his is ever close to yours. Thanks for the offer of support. Will definately see you again.

Re: New from Arizona with a 67 C10 Project

tcb-1. Hey, love your build. Been reading that over and over again. We are bagging the truck. Bags and system are on the way. Only question is do we want a c-notch like yours. Definately dont want to put the big drop bars in but we may want to c-notch it like yours. Problem is that we dont want to do anything to drastic to the bed. I understand the pumpkin may hit with a notch, even if it is a bolt in notch. Any input from anyone is appriciated. Thanks.
