Question about a 72 C20 4x4 price

I just found a one owner 72 C20 long bed, stock to the rock with the original paint, 350 auto, this guy bought it new in 72 and its been in his garage ever since, the paints a bit faded and it needs a few little things. How much should I offer him? No rust anywhere besides a bit in the bed, but that was just surface stuff, I would hate to pass it up, might have to sell my 72 two wheel drive. Thanks

Re: Question about a 72 C20 4x4 price

See my post down below, I have a shot at one for $5200 and people seemed to think that was a good deal. Same as yours only standard bed.

Nice to see this site has a bunch of oregon members!

Re: Question about a 72 C20 4x4 price

Sounds like a great truck!! Here is one I paid $7500.00 for, its is 100% rust free and original paint. Sounds like that one could be worth every bit of what I paid for this one. Good luck with it!!

Re: Question about a 72 C20 4x4 price

Never make an offer until you find out what they want.
If they dont have a price, then offer $50.00
That usually gets them to give you a price.

Re: Question about a 72 C20 4x4 price

I agree, and know what you are dealing with.First off,it`s not a C/20.It`s a K/20 if it`s a 4wd and a C/20 is a 2wd.What options does it have other than an auto trans?A well optioned truck brings more money.I`m not sure what Webfoot means by standard bed,but if the one he`s looking at is in the same condition it`s a steal of a deal and he better get it quick. What ever model it is,the bed is standard for both Fleetside and Stepside.Just a choice in model. With a K/10 there are four model choices, with both beds available in long and short. As far as 4wds go,a 3/4t is worth more than a 1/2t.JoesJunk`s truck is a rare find and a Cheyenne with options. It`s in exceptional condition and was a great deal at $7,500.Is it an a/c truck? What other options does it have?I`ve paid in the $7,500 range for three 3/4t 4wds with high end options I have/had.I just sold the one w/o the motor and needing a restoration for $3,500 because the only rust was in the rockers and it was a highly optioned K/20.The wood bed floor was totally shot and it had been sitting for over 10 years.

Re: Question about a 72 C20 4x4 price

I`ll take some pictures tomorrow, I havent had a chance to see it yet, I would be surprised if it was as nice as yours, that`s a beautiful truck, plus its a non A/C cab, but I`m keepimg my hopes up, I talked to him yesterday, he`s 83 and he said he want $3100.00 for it, thats what he paid in 1972, go figure. I can hardly wait to see it.
