Looking for some advice on Painters Estimate

I met with a painter the other day that does paint and body for a local trucking company. John Christner Trucking. He has a paint booth at home which is less than a couple miles from my house. I have the truck torn down completely and am repairing all the rust. Inner and outer rockers, cab corners, normal stuff. Anyway painter says he wants to use PPG Delfleet? Is this a good middle of the road product? Basically I am gonna carry my parts to him he will do minor bodywork, blocking and prime/paint for 2800$. What do you guys think? Here is some pictures of the truck before teardown. 1972 K2500. Going back with the original color medium bronze.

That sounds like a very fair price to me. Look at the work he does for the trucking company and make sure it's up to the standard that you expect. And even though he is a "backyard" painter doesn't mean you don't need a written agreement.

Ok, I have seen some of his work, (65 GTO) it looked really good to me. Good advice on the written agreement, he seems like a good ole country boy, but business is business. Any thoughts on PPG Delfleet? It would be base/clear. Oh I forgot to mention that this includes inside the cab and bed.
