how do i install the felt inserts?

I bought a window channel kit from LMC for my 72 c10, which includes the inner and outer window seals, door glass runs, and the felt inserts connected to the vent window run. I already install everything but the felt insert, since im having trouble with it. How do I remove the old felt strip and insert the new ones? Do i just rip out the old one?

Re: how do i install the felt inserts?

I just ripped out the old one. Mine was also glued in place, so I had to spend some extra time cleaning out the old glue residue. I just placed the new one in the channel. It seemed to fit tight enough, so I didn't glue it.
