electric fan conversion/heater hose question

For my 68 C10, I'm considering converting my 1990 tbi 350 to an electric fan, but my motor doesn't have a water pump heater hose inlet, and so I have the return heater hose connecting to the top of the radiator next to the battery instead. My radiator is from a late 70's square body. None of the radiator/electric fan conversion kits I see have an upper hose inlet on the right side near the battery. Does anyone know of a workaround for this? I think I read somewhere about a spacer under the thermostat with a nipple attached. Would that work in lieu of connecting to the radiator?

I may be missing something but are you just wanting a radiator with a heater pipe? My '83 K20 had that as stock with the 350 version of the radiator. Then I upgraded to a 454 radiator and it still had the heater hose inlet. They are also available with oil cooler provisions. I have dual Corvette C4 fans on mine

I have TunedPort fuel injection on mine so the ECM controls both fans. If you have TBI I believe you can control at least 1 fan with that ECM. Alternatively you could use a BMW sending unit with a Volvo relay to control a 2 speed fan.

Yes, that's all I'm looking for. Although I just took a closer look at my water pump, and it does have a hex plug that I could add a heater hose fitting to. That said, if my TBI computer would only work one of the fans, I'm not sure that's something I want to get that far into the weeds with. Thank you for the input. Definitely something to consider. Hmmm...
