chopped blazer
guys i just purchased a blazer project from a member here, and i would like to see some pictures of blazers with the chopped top and the windshield laid back. the only one i know of is a green one built by Fesler in Arizona. Just need something to compare it to. Can you help??

No problem. Some of his earlier threads showed laying the windshield back, but the pictures are gone. You might ask him to repost them.

man, i don't know how to post pics yet. The project is the one that Porterbuilt Streetrods was working on for a member here. There was a rendering done by Carter Hickman, it was a blue blazer, chopped top and all. Well anyway i will be working with Nate to continue the progress on this build since he had already started on it. I will see if i can get him to post some pictures.

yeah Nate and i have discussed that and i will be contacting you soon. i love that rendering, im kinda stuck on other ideas for this project to make it mine. The rendering is so good, anybody got any suggestions on color, body mods etc???

I really like the trunk idea in that rendering. Everyone has their ouwn ideas about what they like so make it your own. Personally, I'm a big fan of chrome bumpers. Also, my tail gate was smoothed like the picture, but not welded shut. I think its the biggest eye sore on my blazer (and I have some fugly mirrors). The smoothed gate looks better with the roll pan though.

i agree with you on the tailgate thing and i kinda lean towards the chrome bumper too.

Yes, I personally like for trucks to have tailgates. You can smooth them but just keep them. I did a truck that had a vette inspired rear and really pushed to keep some sort of tailgate. This is what makes a truck a truck and not a car. Just my opinion, I have seen some welded up tailgates that looked nice, but just not my thing.

Just saw one on Clist link>> 1972 blazer 2wd - $6000 (Laurens)
Was built years ago by rod shop. Has a big block, Corvette suspension, and chopped top.
