Re: uploading pictures ,There's got to be an easier way ?

I am with you. Every time I upload a picture I get frustrated. I can't remember all the steps. Then some pictures are large then the next is so small you can't see it. I hope we can get an answer.

Hey, you guys get to this site on your phone? That's what I do, and you can upload the picture right from your photo gallery on your phone, directly to your post

I've had few "smart" phones and the one I have now keeps telling me " your too old to use a smart phone , Go buy a dumb phone and leave me alone ! " I've come to call it my SMART AZZ phone ! I'll have to see if Siri will let me upload that way .

Re: uploading pictures ,There's got to be an easier way ?

im a puter tard too and my phone is smarter than i also my bucket doesnt have any photos in it.
my kid say this site is the easyest site to put pics up i take his word cause i never tried anywhere else besides ebay and craplist.

i can do it pretty much the same on the phone as my puter.
if ya can follow along here is how i do it hope it helps ya.

1. click on manage attachements

2. (base)click on the "pictures"... on the phone it says images, pictures or documents(your might say something differnt).

3.scroll through pics and click on the one you want.

4.click on upload....on the comp i can select and upload more than one pic at a time. on the phone i gotta upload one at a time up to 5 pics.

5. click on close this window.

6. i usually click on "preview post" to find my mistakes but most times i dont care about misspleelings

I'm older school. I have yet to buy a smart phone. With a digital camera it is easy, just plug in the USB cord (is that the right name? ) and it's easy. Then do the attach thingy

Re: uploading pictures ,There's got to be an easier way ?

I couldn't tell you 1/4 of what these type phones do ,Most of the time it sits on the kitchen counter or the console of the truck . I check it about once a day to see if there are any messages and I still get those calls saying " hey where are you ? pick up the phone " like I can hear them ? My daughter has a very successful internet web site business and asked "why didn't you guys use the internet when you were young?" Ahhh ! What internet ? I didn't even have a cell phone until 1996 ?

Hi grumpy. My $.02... If you have a smart phone, I'm sure your daughter could help you get the photobucket app and show you have to upload them right to photobucket from your phone. Then just share the link!!

Once you do it a few times, it will be as easy as rebuilding drum brakes. Tedious with a lot of springs and parts, but once you know, you know.

I use google drive because I have a google email address and its all integrated.

Cheers.

Re: uploading pictures ,There's got to be an easier way ?

What sucks is with an iPhone you can only upload 1 picture at a time. Because the forums here recognize all your iPhone pictures as having the same file name. So if you do more than 1 at a time it just uses the last 1 thinking the others were all duplicates.

Re: uploading pictures ,There's got to be an easier way ?

Any pics I take with my phone I just email to myself and then upload via computer. I just load pics with the forum pic loader. For some reason you can only load one pic at a time, even though there is an option to load 5 or 6 at a time. You can still add multiple pics to a single post, but you have to just do them one at a time.

I do the same thing but when I post the pics to this site and when they show up in the threads they are always sideways Anyone know why that happens or how to cure it. I have an iPhone.

Hold your phone in portrait mode with the home button to the right.

Yes, you must hold the iPhone with the circular button on the right and the volume buttons facing down.

Like this:

For example...

Image 1

Image 2

Both of these photos were taken (one right after the other) on my phone and both display (in the iphone camera roll) as right side up. but, when uploaded... well you can see the difference. With the iphone, you must have the phone oriented with the round button in your right hand and the volume buttons facing down or it will take an upside down photo.

For further information see this link: http://iphonephotographyschool.com/i...s-upside-down/

Re: uploading pictures ,There's got to be an easier way ?

My I Phone 6 S Plus experience:

Take photo's with round button on the right to eliminate cussing later.

Open the photo's Icon, click on one photo then select the email icon below.

Enter your own email addy and title.

Select Send, a popup will ask what size do you want the pictures, i always select large.

Send.

Go to home computer, open same email.

click the first picture, select download.

Picture opens in viewer window, right click and select save, choose your folder and save.

repeat for the rest of the pictures you just sent yourself.

Now go to the forum and make a post, when you click manage attachments you can pick browse, find the photo and upload one at a time, but you can upload all 5.

I do it this way because i don't sync my phone that often. It works for me.

Re: uploading pictures ,There's got to be an easier way ?

That's what I'd like to know. First I upload the image onto the computer, open the image in paint and re size to 900 pixels. Upload onto Facebook, copy the image address. You think your old school? I don't even carry a cellphone.
