Grandmother's Truck
The truck's been in my trailer for 4 months, and the weather was finally nice enough yesterday to take it out and put it in its new home - my garage. Glad it's finished! Here's a link to the complete restoration - start to finish: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=373187

If anyone knows, how do I become a candidate for Truck of the Month?

Also, is the trim factory or aftermarket? How about the grille? If not, where did you order from? Thanks.

Re: Grandmother's Truck
I bought from 2 places - LMC and Wes with Classic Heartbeat in Washington. I've heard horror stories about LMC but I have nothing but praise for them. However, Wes really knows these trucks and was a huge help, especially my door wood-grain trim. Those are the metal ones and Wes knows where to get them.

Re: Grandmother's Truck
Very nice! I love the restored Cheyennes. I hope you get that truck of the month, that one definitely deserves it.

Re: Grandmother's Truck
That looks like an incredibly nice truck. My oldest son and I restored my grandmother's 71. It was the only vehicle she ever bought or owned.

Re: Grandmother's Truck
Thanks for all the compliments, guys. This has been a tough project from start to finish and I've learned quite a bit. I found most of my OEM parts here and stayed as original factory as possible. Even the A/C is R-12 freon and I have to praise Classic Auto Air of Tampa, Florida for rebuilding my original. Many thanks for a spectacular paint job by Custom Paint & Body Works of Oakland, Tennessee.
