Power Probe
I am considering purchasing a Power Probe 3, does anyone have experience with this, is it worth the money? Just seems like a lot of money for a tool i may not use very often, unless i am able to use it in place of basic multimeter functions.

Re: Power Probe
I have had one for about 5-6 years, really long enough that I can't remember exactly. It gets used just about weekly on the job. I will often grab it before my Fluke DMM, BUT there are some things that the DMM is better for.
I like that I can apply power or a ground or to know quickly if I am probing into a power or a ground. I find it useful for most things. Beware the PP3 is not really recommended for trouble shooting computerized control circuits. |

Thanks guys for the input. I was debating between the PP3 and PP4. I pulled the trigger and purchased the PP3, I don't think i will use it enough to use all the features on the PP4. Thanks again |

Re: Power Probe
I've had several power probes over the years and use them a lot. I really want to get a hook but what do you buy first? Truck parts or another power probe?
