It doesn't have to be over your head. I'm a photographer not a fabricator. Over the last few years I've read, watched and learned as much as I can and made my own mistakes. This is my first real project. I just take my time and if I don't know how to work out a problem I search it out on the internet. I also watch youtube videos about body work, welding, etc. and apply it to my truck. Learn from your mistakes. If the panel you welded is warped or messed up, cut it out and go slower next time.
