Re: Crash's 72 K10
Well.. I have run out of mechanical things to fix.. So here I go on the cab repair…
Decided to start on the passenger side first.. That way if I don’t get it just right.. then I won’t have to look at it every time I get in the truck.. First step was to take some measurements and then start removing the rocker.. Lots of rust…… Started fitting the replacement panel Thought I would see what the rocker would look like.. 5 gallon bucket of sand in the passenger side rear support Started fitting the cab corner… still lots of work to do here…. I got some co2/argon mix for the welder Saturday.. I bought a bottle instead of renting.. hope it was the right move.. Also picked up a roll of .030 solid wire.. But now I am wondering if I should use .024?
