Re: 1970 C30 Car hauler Buildish thread.
I moved the driver side shock mount behind the axle to match the dodge bracket.
![]() ![]() ![]() I cam across some assist shocks for cheap. I don't know if they actually do anything it says it gives any extra 500lbs of load on each shock and supposed to give a little lift idk but they sit at the same height as the old ones. that said i'm running helper bags any ways to help keep the load level. and its way cheaper then replacing the old leaf springs. ![]() ![]() ![]() Pulled my step fathers boat out of the water on november 1st it was 71 out here it was a warm fall. ![]() ![]() started on the wide body extensions. ![]() ![]() ![]() the steel wheels have a slightly deeper offset so I needed to make sure they fit. I have about an inch of room ![]() ![]() ![]() I ended up going with dodge style u bolts so I had to redo the helper bag mounts. ![]() ![]() ![]() Had another 71 degree day yesterday november 10th. ![]() Got one more use out of the grill. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Had a new drive shaft made for the rear. and had them balance it and replace the carrier bearings and they replaced the u joints as well. I about had a hart attack when I got the bill. ![]() ![]() I wired up two 7 pin trailer plugs one for the gooseneck and one for the normal hitch. ![]() ![]() |
