Re: Buried to Bagged 1972 2wd
Did you figure out what to do with the cowl along the bottom of the windshield? I've been curious for a while what you decided. This thing is incredible!

Re: Buried to Bagged 1972 2wd
Roadster cowl customization in 5 easy steps!!!
![]() Mark where your cowl should be cut to match the A-pillar. First the back portion of the cowl was cut off and relief cuts where made from the back toward the front. I took out about 1.25" at the rear and none across the center of the cowl. I cut out excess metal until both pieces butted together nicely. This gives you a flatter surface than stock. I cut out the fresh air vents on the cowl and replaced it with 18 gauge metal. I made the metal concave to match the cowl then used a shrinker/stretcher to get it to bend properly to match the compound curve from side to side. I worked a little short hair fiberglass into the cuts then went over that with some trusty bondo to get it to look halfway decent. After a small amount of sanding I got it very close but still feel a small dip where the inside relief cut was made. A little more pookie on it, and it should be good! For the record, I'm not a bodyman!! ![]()

That's pretty nice work for a non-body man. Looks awesome!
