Jeffahart I was looking through your writeup and it reminded me of something I did on mine. If you use the Mar-K cross sills they have square holes to capture the carriage bolts that attach the bed to the frame. You can then rout out the wood for the bolt head and not have them visible on your bed floor.

That's a great option for a clean look. I will probably do exactly that next time I replace my wood.
