Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

Im old, but I still like my trucks on the ground. I like driving windey roads way too much to deal with some top heavy truck wallowing around corners. That being said, I also use my trucks as trucks. Thats the cool thing about bagging a truck; you can have your cake and eat it too. Having an adjustable suspension that rides good, I dont know, I just dont see a down side. I can set the ride height and ride quality I want from the drivers seat, and I can compensate for whatever load I want to put on it. Or, if I get a wild hare up my backside, I can set it off the pavement at the height of my sidewalls and cruise through town. Nope, no downside that I can see....

Your right, no downside. Looks stock or lower it and looks super cool. Think it shows taste and not a boring ride like so many, but everyone likes something different and to me they all have a cool factor in "their" own way.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

Thanks everyone. I do plan to keep the truck patina all but the interior. I am going to restore the interior back so stock except a billet steering wheel. Bags are defiantly the way to go.

Sorry if I offended you by posting pictures of my truck. Didn't mean to steal your thunder.

JChurchill, Do your thang Brother. Everyone has different tastes and that's a good thing. It's your truck so make it, build it, and drive it like you wanna!

MSL is a bit heart broken I guess with not enough looks, every truck has it's personality, all cool on here, lifted, lowered, in between, old, new ugly, fake patina...all trucks bro. Gotta love a Chevy.

X2 ... I personally love to see everybody's rig whether it's my taste or not. I can appreciate the work and engineering that goes into making a custom ride. I am restoring mine back to how it would have been around 1980. Definitely not every ones taste but it is a dream of mine to return to my own hot rod days. I always wanted a Square Body and saw the potential but being 18 in 77 meant I could never afford one back then.

I can't wait to see it. Even though I'm biased toward a lowered truck with fat tires, I always find myself checking out the stock looking, well maintained ones. I don't necessarily mean the show trucks, God Bless them too, but the daily drivers or weekend cruisers that are out and about. Just like your comments, we all know and have to appreciate the work, time, money and support from your family that goes into building these things. So Titomars make it, build it and POST IT!

Here is my truck that has some rust issues but a good project. My dad gave it to me he really liked it but let it sit to long. The second vehicle my dad have given but now I am 44. Junk yard here I come. The truck is a 350 with a th400 heavy 1/2( 8 rear leaf springs) no power steering

This are the wheels I ordered for my GMC
20x8.5 /20x10. Don't know if I will need any wheel adapters to bring them out. If anybody haves an idea please let me know. ..... Back space for front is 4.5" and 5.5 rear.

I've been watching "Scarlett" closely.
