Re: Finally seeing some progress...
Nice truck/build!
Lovin' the front bumper, where ya gonna mount your front plate? Also, in post #196 it looks like a one piece door glass but that's not what you wound up with? |

Thanks guys... it's been a lot of fun with this project. It felt good seeing everyone walking around it and talking about it.

Re: Finally seeing some progress...
Nick, it was good meeting you tonight. Came home and read your build. Unbelievable. Hell of a job. Maybe I'll see you in Kemah tomorrow night. And if you ever need an extra set of hands, let me know. I'm only like 5 minutes down the road. (I know that's REAL helpful now that you're done with all the hard work. hahahah)

Simply awesome project! I wish I hadn't missed the build. You really knocked this truck out!

Re: Finally seeing some progress...
Joel, it was good meeting you. I'm planning on going to Kemah tonight but not 100% if I can. I did put a posi rear end in the truck. It's an Eaton chunk with a 373 gear. Thanks Mike, it's been a fun/very slow project. It has been nice actually driving it after approximately of 4 years of work. Few bugs to work out on the truck, but that's not surprise.

Re: Finally seeing some progress...
After the second little one last week, 11-2-11, I think it's time to sale it and find something that seats four. Will probably be posting it in the for sale adds soon.

Re: Finally seeing some progress...
@ 1967Wannabe : Sorry it took me so long to respond to your question, was just reading through posts, guess I had missed it. I originally planned on going with the 1 piece kit, but after the headaches, and frustration of the fit I sold it and just purchased new vent assemblies, regulators, and installed it all.
Truck needs some miles on it... sitting covered up in the garage for too long now. Maybe a schedule change in March so I can get out and drive it with the 2 year old, she loves it! |
